So i love this band. they toe that line of old school gypsy folk & indie rock that’s just so damn delightful to listen to.
Here are two new songs off their recently released Lon Gisland ep. Where their first release, Gulag Orkestar, was essentially lead Zack Condon’s baby recorded in his parent’s basement, Lon Gisland is recorded with the entire band, thus creating a more organic feel to it. The single off the new EP, “Elephant Gun“, is essentially a continuation of the direction they began on Gulag Orkestar. The other great track here is a re-recording of the previously synthesizer-heavy “Scenic World“. They’ve removed the electro/synth feel and replaced it with a string section that would make Jay Clifford proud.
enjoy!
